Opening text book
'The most delightful moment is actually just before the ‘building’ starts. At this point the table is still filled with opportunities and all the objects are merely parts. Just by putting these parts together in a certain way, a whole world comes into being! Every time these assemblies are altered, a new world arises. It is the same as with words: putting them in a different order creates not only another sentence but also a new story.
For this project I used my personal collection: parts I have collected through the years for the simple reason they make my hart jump.. It consists of self-made models as well as bought and found objects, and materials. The 3-D collages I built with them, were a way to give myself new perspectives on objects that had not been created for the story they now have become part of.
This book suggests. It is filled with proposals and alternatives on how to approach your surroundings and the things in it. Maybe it is a first step towards an open mind filled with fantasy, being secretly amused and chuckle to oneself about the found stories only you can see.'
